Whenever I visit family or friends who have passed over at their graveyard plots, I usually walk around looking at Old Monuments. But it always sticks me hard when I come across a new Child’s Grave freshly decorated with flowers and gifts. Losses so quickly in Life. Heavy hearts missing them.
But when it comes to Out of Control Gun Violence?
I do not have personal beliefs or opinions, I’m pretty numb now, I once had opinions and beliefs, but these shootings do upset me and I cannot provide information on this topic based on real objective sources without asking WHY LORD? What have we done so Wrong?
WHY LORD?
The issue of mass shootings in schools and churches in the US is a complex one with no single answer. It’s a heartbreaking Issue. No one deserves hurting or killing by others shooting on a whim or a very planned styled Massacre. Some explanations include a combination of factors such as mental illness or instability, exposure to gun violence or violent media, access to firearms, and societal issues such as bullying or a desire for attention or notoriety. Additionally, some argue that the US’s unique relationship with guns and the Second Amendment make it easier for individuals to obtain firearms, contributing to the prevalence of shootings in public places.
It is important to note that there is ongoing debate and research on these topics, and there is no one solution or answer that will solve the issue of mass shootings in the US.

However, it is generally believed that individuals who engage in violent and criminal activities, including mass shootings, may have underlying mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, and other forms of mental illness. It is important to note that mental illness alone does not cause violent behavior, and that many people living with mental illness do not pose a threat to others. Other factors such as access to firearms, social isolation, and exposure to violence can also contribute to this type of behavior. It is crucial to seek professional help and support for individuals living with mental health issues to prevent the occurrence of such incidents in the future.
WHAT TO DO?
If you find yourself in an active shooter situation while inside a store, the first priority should be to ensure your safety and the safety of those around you. Here are some steps you can take to try to stop an active shooter:
- Run: If you hear gunshots or see the shooter, run out of the store through the nearest exit. Do not stay to try and gather your belongings and don’t worry about anyone else who is not willing to follow you. Encourage all those who can to run.
- Hide: If running is not an option, hide in a place where you cannot be seen easily, such as a stock room or behind a locked door. Turn your phone to silent mode and do not make any noise.
- Alert law enforcement: Contact law enforcement as soon as possible, and give them the location of the store, the description of the shooter, and any other details you can provide.
- Fight back: If you are in a situation where you are facing an active shooter in a store, the following are some steps you can take:
- Run: Your first option should always be to run out of the store and get as far away from the shooter as possible. Look for nearby exits, and use them to escape quickly.
- Hide: If you can’t run, find a place to hide where the shooter is less likely to find you. Look for places where you can lock the doors or barricade yourself, such as a storage room, closet, or bathroom.
- Call for help: As soon as you are safe, call 911 and provide them with as much information as possible, such as your location, the number of shooters, and the type of weapon used.
- Fight back: If you are in a situation where you can’t run or hide, your last option is to fight back. Use any objects around you as makeshift weapons, and try to disarm the shooter.
Remember that it is important to stay calm and stay alert at all times. If you have the opportunity to escape safely, you should do so immediately. If you cannot escape, try to find a safe hiding place and call 911 to alert the authorities of the situation. If you must confront the shooter, use any object you can find as a weapon, such as a chair or fire extinguisher, and try to disarm them if possible. Remember to use caution and avoid putting yourself or others in harm’s way. Always follow instructions from law enforcement and emergency personnel once they arrive on the scene.
