Rich European Aristocrat says American Civil War not fought over Slavery.

Have you ever wondered why in the heck did foreigners fight in the American Civil War? You did? Their View of why they fought doesn’t line up with What History says were the causes of the Civil War. Many Today say it was all about Slavery. But it looks like Slavery was dragged into the Party Line back then to get a new Group of fighters fighting for a Union that wasn’t fully behind the War. Lots in the North and South didn’t want the War. The Issues were far bigger. People in the South didn’t want to be told what their States could and could not do if it wasn’t in line with the Northern Political Party in Power. Just like all the infighting between Republicans and Democrats Today.

Prince Camille Armand Jules Marie de Polignac (February 16, 1832 – November 15, 1913) was a French nobleman who served with the Confederates in the American Civil War, living on to become the last surviving Confederate Major-General.

A Decorated Veteran American Major General says the American Civil War was fought over States Rights of Self-Sovereignty vs A Political Conglomerate. And not fought over Slavery. Slavery was brought into the Issue to get Blacks to fight for a Union that was Having a difficult time of getting sophisticated men to fight in the Union Army. Many in the North agree with the Principles of the South of Self Sovereignty. Cannon Fodder style Warfare just didn’t appeal to the sophisticated Northern Gentleman. These Whites simply did not want to Die. Why should they die for Slaves which many in the North were deemed undesirables and should be returned to their Country of Origin? The Slavery Issue was added to give justification away from the real Issues of what many believed was the North’s Overreaching beyond reasonableness Union Demands into The Sovereign Rights of States. This very Issue is Alive Today as several States now wish to Secede from 🇺🇸. Republican States want to create Republican Countries out of 🇺🇸. North, South, East, and West Republican Countries out of 🇺🇸.The Slavery Free the Slaves Issue was done to get Blacks into the Cannon Fodder Lines. Just like in Vietnam by lowering Draft Standards. Let these Black Union Troops die First before the far Superior White Unionists?Did Race play a part in the Civil War? Or was Race used to get More Troops into the a Union Army? Napoleon was ready to Aid the South but because Britain didn’t. They couldn’t either. Ow was a Quagmire and A War many did not want to engage in. But bringing Slaves to Buyers waz a Money Maker for Britain. Is you Black? Or are you Black? Doesn’t Matter, this discussion is about a past Time Period that many still don’t understand. And this, it’s not about you Today. Do your DNA and find out where you came from, not where you were born. Were you a Slave Descendant? Knowing History is Learning the a truth. Many Truths.

Politics translates into governmental power. The power of government lies in its ability to legislate – to make laws. Prior to the Civil War there was great concern deriving from a delicate balance of political control over Congress and the laws it would render. Some states had outlawed slavery and others had not. As new states were admitted into the Union, it was important to some that the ‘free states’ not outnumber the ‘slave states’ and to some others it was just as important that the ‘slave states’ not outnumber the ‘free states’. With each new state’s admission into the Union, the tension was very great that the balance of political control not tip the other way.

But it did tip and then tip back again and with each tipping one way or the other, the tension mounted. There was no end to the tipping in sight. In 1860 a President was elected who was believed to be determined to throw his power and political influence to the ‘free states’. With that some of the ‘slave states’ decided to set up their own government and end the otherwise unending political battle between ‘free states’ and ‘slave states’.

One could also argue that the political causes lay in the structure of the government set up by the Founders. The Senate offers equal representation to each state while the House derives its number from population. Had the Founders not decided upon a bicameral legislature perhaps the war would not have happened. Also fairly said, the Founders gave the U.S. President the role of ‘Commander-in-Chief’ of the army. Had they not done that, Lincoln would not have had the seeming authority to raise a volunteer army to fight the war.

But that delves deeper into the political causes than we usually do. Controlling legislation over two prominent issues was the political cause of the war.

Nut a deeper, darker influence was to limit State Sovereignty. This was the real cause.

You States will do as I tell you to do. Today, Texas fights almost everything handed down from Congress and taken to the Texas Supreme Court which is happily friendly with the Political Power in Office. Texas 8s a good example of States fighting for Sovereignty. Just like in the causes for the Civil War.

There are those in America Today that still do not accept any Southerners back into the Union. They think and make it their duty to Treat all Southerners as if we were all Traitors to the Union. Poorer Pay, poorer treatment. Fewer incentives to promotions.
