Youngsters, let me begin by apologizing to you for my shortcomings and for this as well of my fellow Elderly. In ways, somewhat misguided as We may be, We have grossly failed every one of you. And miserably so. By one of the most Blessed timely and cherished gifts any of us could ever give you. What could it be pray tell? We have failed to provide you with a living past. Your Living Past.
During the Vietnam War, something appeared out of nowhere. America experienced a Silent, mostly silent, Civil War, a Civil Rebellion, against the tyranny of misguided individuals who thrust America into an Unwelcomed War, yet they purely called Upon every young man’s Patriotism to come and fight in it. And fought and Died America did, but only until the Great Nation awoke and cried out for the War of Great Pain and Misery to End. And with it, the United States Draft! Also, An evil, yet needed mechanism for gathering up youth to fight in War. And out of the misguideness, forgiveness never came, and out of it, we failed to pass a long to you the History of Your Being Here with all of its Glorious Past. From all over the World, only the bravest became America’s Immigrants including Slaves bought, brought, and stolen from far across the Oceans Lands. And as they came, those who were able to, became focused on the Greed that always decided resides in all of us. A Greed that Killed, Man, Woman, and Child. A Greed so strong that it Killed the Great Tribes of American Indians. A Greed so powerful that War was fought for Land east of the Rio Grande with Mexico. Greed, say it one and all has always seemed to slither into almost everything, even the most possible possibilities clamouring and shouting down from Pulpits. And the Great Weekend gathering at Town Squares where all Wares, Food, Animals, and Merchandise were Sold or Bartered. Even Moonshine made its way in the dark alleyways.

Pics above of Town Square Gatesville, Texas 1800s and 1900s.
And one form or another of Gangsterisms came about from Italians, Irish, and Black migrants and even the Chinese has its History of Gangerterism. Gangsterisms are part of America’s History and made some of the Wealthiest all of their Wealth. Even Religious Groups had their origins in Greed. Even Brothelisms feeding sex to miners for their Gold. Even the Great Chinese Experiment ended in Chinatowns all across America and Restaurants today. It’s right there if you wish to search and find. It’s way past time that America pulls its eyes away from its Kaleidoscopes, painting one integrated false narrative after another. America, rest assured, has its Hands drenching in one True Bloody Tale after another. We are a society of Great Warriors. Warriors void of Cowards one and all. But all of it is Our Intertwined History, both good and bad. Both Proud and Sad. But out of all the whitewashing, we have lost the truest truth, America is all of Our History.

If tomorrow all the things were gone
I worked for all my life
And I had to start again
With just my children and my wife
I thank my lucky stars
To be living here today
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom
And they can’t take that away
And I’m proud to be an American
Where at least I know I’m free
And I won’t forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I’d gladly stand up next to you
And defend Her still today
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt
I love this land
God Bless the U.S.A.
From the lakes of Minnesota
To the hills of Tennessee
Across the plains of Texas
From sea to shining sea
From Detroit down to Houston
And New York to L.A.
Where’s pride in every American heart
And it’s time we stand and say
That I’m proud to be an American
Where at least I know I’m free
And I won’t forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I’d gladly stand up next to you
And defend Her still today
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt
I love this land
God Bless the U.S.A.
And I’m proud to be an American
Where at least I know I’m free
And I won’t forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I’d gladly stand up next to you
And defend Her still today
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt
I love this land
God Bless the U.S.A.
