Do You have Courage?

Below is a Letter. A Letter to Vladimir Putin. I believe only a massive campaign to get as many Americans as possible to use it and Sign it and Mail it to Putin will Putin see the American People. It is US that makes 🇺🇸 Great. Not the whimsical Leaders that pop into the WH every four years. As Americans, we can bring Peace to Ukraine. And it addresses serious concerns. We cannot see Putin’s Side because we are not allowed to see it. It is political rhetoric that we are fed. Such rhetoric got us stuck in Vietnam and Afghanistan and Iraq for what? 20 years and We got What? Trillions of Dollars in A Massive Debt. And we continue to BOMB in Syria. But will that ever end? Putin does not respect Weakness. Too weak to do this? Get past your Fear and Just Do it. It’s a good cause.

His Excellency Vladimir Putin
President of the Russian Federation
The Kremlin
Moscow, Russia

Dear President Putin,

I pen this letter not as a representative of any political institution, but as a concerned citizen from the heart of Texas, deeply aware of the stirring winds of our interconnected fates. Today, I reach out to you with a proposal — a pathway to peace that acknowledges the profound histories, cultures, and sundered relationships between our nations.

The echoes of history resonate loudly in these times. As Leo Tolstoy once said, “The strongest of all warriors are these two — Time and Patience.” Within this spirit, let us embrace patience in our dialogue, act with prudence in our decisions, and work towards a long-lasting peace that regards the dignity of all people involved.

In light of the ongoing conflict, a realistic approach for a sustainable resolution is paramount. It is my belief that Russia’s historic claim to Crimea, rooted in centuries of cultural and political ties, could be acknowledged in a peace agreement. However, I urge you to consider the relinquishment of annexed territories in Eastern Ukraine. This act of goodwill could serve as a significant step towards reconciliation and foster an environment where dialogue prevails over discord.

Simultaneously, it is imperative that Western allies do not overlook the legitimate security concerns of Russia. The words of the great Russian statesman Alexander III resonate profoundly, “Russia needs only one thing: to be respected.” Acknowledging your country’s apprehensions regarding NATO expansion is a necessary concession from the West. In this realm of diplomacy, I propose a reciprocal commitment, a shared acknowledgment that emphasizes mutual respect and security guarantees, laying the foundation for a cooperative future.

To this end, I dare to propose a 50-Year Peace Plan:

  1. Recognition and Respect: Acknowledgment of historical ties to Crimea while agreeing upon the withdrawal of forces from the Donbas region in Ukraine.
  2. Security Guarantees: Establishing a treaty that mandates no further NATO encroachment and includes a comprehensive security framework safeguarding both Russian and Ukrainian sovereignty.
  3. Economic Partnerships: Engaging in joint economic ventures that benefit both nations, fostering interdependence and reducing tendencies towards conflict.
  4. Cultural Exchanges: Promoting programs that celebrate our shared histories, languages, and cultures to build a foundation of mutual understanding and respect, relying on Russia’s tradition of valuing education and heritage.
  5. Dispute Resolution Mechanism: Creating a dedicated panel inclusive of representatives from both nations to address any arising issues through dialogue, as proffered by the wisdom of Tsar Peter the Great, “It is better to debate a question without settling it than to settle it without debate.”
  6. Vision for the Future: Anchoring our peace in a hopeful vision for future generations, invoking the ethos of Tchaikovsky, that our collective dreams must transcend our past grievances.

This plan is not a panacea but a starting point, a commitment to foster peace on the working man’s level, recognizing that the fabric of our societies is knitted from countless threads of labor, love, and laughter.

President Putin, my intention is to approach you—man to man—with respect that acknowledges your leadership while advocating for the countless lives caught in the turmoil of conflict. Like the peasant philosopher who once said, “Men are held together by the inseparable bonds of love and respect,” the bonds that unite us should be stronger than those that divide us.

As we navigate the complexities of geopolitics, let us remain guided by this tenet of humanity. Together, may we fortify a future where the sons and daughters of our nations inherit a legacy of cooperation, understanding, and peace.

With profound respect,
